Traditional tartare recipe is chopped raw beef or tuna, mixed with chopped onions, chopped capers, salt & pepper, worcestershire sauce, tabasco, raw egg yolk (optional). Though I don't know if I want to serve it for a sheva brachot, esp if the dish is not kept refrigerated till right before serving. A bit of risky dish from hygienic reasons, no?

I have a good recipe but it calls for raw tuna so I think is risky for a sheva brochos and I know from experience that when ppl hear is raw they won't touch it.
but if you are interested I can post it, is best to make it as close as possible as the time of serving because the dressing starts "cooking" or pickling the fish and if is all done is not tasty.
if you are just looking for a different way to serve cold fish you can make ceviche or pickled salmon.
