So far:
Pineapple Pie- hit
Shnitzel with the sauce- hit

No misses yet b"h.

I like the photography and layout of the book as well. Curious to hear everyone else's thoughts on the book.

Crumbs for schnitzel came out fantastic, also enjoyed the double decker bars but next time I'd make the top with brown sugar over white.

I like the photography too, but nothing in there really grabbed me. So far I've just been making my tried and true recipes. But now that you posted maybe I'll try the schnitzel

I should mention with the schnitzel that I spiced up the crumbs and also marinated the chicken in spices and lemon juice and then coated with a little oil and dipped in the crumbs so I didn't follow exactly Smile

I already had the recipes for the orange soup and the French roast from other cookbooks.

The onion rings on the cover, which share the batter recipe of the chicken nuggets was way off potato starch wise. I needed more than another whole cup of starch to get it to batter consistency. After that they were delicious!

Really?

I used that batter for the chicken nuggets and it was a perfect consistency.

You needed 2 cups of potato starch?

I also needed to add more potato starch- about 1/2 c more- because the batter was too liquidy to stay on the chicken! but otherwise it was delicious.

Am I the only one who thinks this book should be called Passover made NOT SO easy? The pictures are beautiful, but most of the recipes are a patchke!

Thanks for posting this. When I made it today I figured I would add the water last and I only needed half the listed amount. Would have been way too soupy otherwise. But the recipe is otherwise a total hit, I made it for Shabbos but my kids keep eating it, I doubt there will be any left
