kinda like the stella dora cookies- those type.
any one know of one?

and motek instead of butter yo may sub. margrine in equal proportions but we don't use marg. and use something called "smart balance" its a non hydroginated marg. that works perfectly in place of marg.

I don't know if it's the same recipe, but my sister-in-law gave me a recipe for Mrs. Field's cookies. It's a huge recipe, and one batch makes over 100 cookies.
They are absolutely delicious and it's very hard to stop eating them, especially if you're pregnant:)

I make this recipe of Mrs. Fields and everyone raves about them (and gobbles them up). It only makes 2 dozen, I"m not sure why you are all making 100 cookies!!! Also, it's as easy to make as an other regular cookie recipe.

I use margarine instead of butter.

Sorry - but that recipe doesn't look much different than any other ccc recipe I've seen, What makes them so much yummier.
They definitely smell heaven in the mall.

Okay, here's the recipe. Credit goes to my sister-in-law, and I think she got it from her mother who got it from...?
It's a "dump-it-all-in."
2 cups margarine
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups flour
5 cups ground oatmeal (not whole oats)
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 bag (12 oz.) chocolate chips
1 bag (12 oz.) white chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
Mix all ingredients in large bowl. (Remember, this makes about 100 cookies, so you need a large enough bowl.)
Bake at 350* for 12-15 minutes, depending if you like them soft and chewy or crunchy. It may need some more time, depending on your oven.
This will be a few batches in the oven, so the best thing to do is keep track of how long the first tray is in and you'l know for the rest.
This dough freezes well, so if you don't need 100 cookies, freeze it and save for another time. The cookies freeze well also after they're baked.

I've never gotten 100 cookies from a Mrs. Fields recipe, although I do usually get more than she says I will.
I use margarine instead of butter for all my cookies.

No, you just grind them up in the food-processor.
It makes a huge difference! Worth the effort!
Also the "Neiman Marcus Cookies" AKA The Famous "$250 Cookies"
call for ground oats.
Try it!!!
