We have a book where although it was war time and sugar was scarce, a favorite aunt presented her niece turning 16 with 16 sugar cubes all wrapped up prettily. when my oldest DD turned 16, my second DD asked if she should give her sugar cubes. She retorted, "Do I look like a horse?"
