The people before us put in a white floor. They obviously did not have small kids.

How about "about 3 times a week, including lichvod Shabbat", or it used to be 3 times a week and then I went back to work?

Well I recently had a baby, and was complaining to my mother how despite my best intentions and greatest efforts, I just can't seem to get on top of my housework, and the floor really needs a cleaning! Her response? "Lower your standards! Instead of washing your floor 3 x a week, you'll do it once a week!"
I was too embarrassed to tell her it had actually been like 2 weeks...
But usually, 1-2 times a week will do for me. It's my worst chore.

I keep the mop standing up in between the fridge and the wall. Whenever I get inspired (once a year or so ) I spill a tepel with water on the floor and zap it up with the mop. In a few seconds, the floor is cleaner and I feel a little better. Otherwise, I leave it exclusively for the cleaning lady.

I have a floor you cant see any dirt on, except for the grout between the tiles. That part never looks clean.
The floor gets washed at least once a week Lekovod Shabbes. Sometimes more

I dont think that it is mans work either, but by us, I do the cooking and my husband does the cleaning, that is what we agreed on..
