I'm looking for a recipe for fried fishballs, with a sweetish taste. Anyone?

I use the rolls of ready made gefilta fish, defrost, add a little matza meal to stretch maybe, form into balls and deep fry.

Thanks raisin, that's exactly what I've been looking for, but I don't have to add anything? Salt, sugar etc?

you can but I don't. Just buy the ready sweetened rolls. They are already seasoned, so why should you?

Ive made fried fish balls numerous times, tweaking the recipe each time until I found what worked:
I use the ready gefilte fish rolls, defrost, mix eggs, sugar, black pepper, a bit of salt, and bread crumbs. I then form 1" balls and deep fry. I serve it will dip: (dip = mayo, ketchup, garlic powder, parsley flakes.)
This recipe works for picky eaters! My nephew couldn't believe it was fish ( never mind I used leftover fish from Shabbos!

I usually serve fishballs as a shabbos appetizer or at a kiddush or simcha. (made very small with cocktail sticks)
My mother used to serve fishballs for supper with chips. In the best british tradition. Or roast potatoes would work well. Anything really. rice, couscous, salad.
