Finances > 12 passenger vans
Why on earth do you need so many vans? Most families make do with one or two. If you're having financial difficulties you definitely should sell at least a few of them.

dessert for guest
The way the titles are underlined in the recent topics made me read this as "desert for quest" and I was really tantalized... wow, someone is setting out on some kind of real-life adventure... why does she need to go to the desert and what is she seeking?? And then I noticed it was under "Kosher Kitchen." And then I noticed the two s's in "dessert." And that was the end of my five-second imamother adventure-story fantasy moment.

"Do you think it's weird?"
Well yes, but I think It is suppose to be weird. That is the whole point. And btw, proper names should be capitalized.
(I did watch too much T.V. as a kid).

Yeast conversion
You may get more answers (definitely more views!) if you move it to Issues of Concern to Frum Society, where most conversion threads end up.
I hope the yeast doesn't end up in hot water and can rise to its full potential, whatever it is exactly that Hashem has in store for it.

PF you've beaten me to that...
Yeast conversion: our general policy is to gently discourage but one needs to PROVE if the said yeast is serious about it. Now my Rav would probably wants to find out if there is a jewish partner involved and if that's the main motive. In any case, it needs to be aware there is a looong process involved including living in with frum families or at least moving into a frum community.

I feel your pain. That's how I felt with the garibeneh reaction.
But proofing, I mean proving is crucial. I've done quick proofing myself, not letting the yeast rise, but now I wonder if that's really in the yeast's best interests or good for the klal, despite the (seemingly?) positive results.
