I think children should be trained to be well-behaved and to interact with derech eretz.

Forever now we are getting tacky.
I have a prob w/h kids even as young as 3 e.g.pulling spiders apart  .
I had a playmate for my daughter who did that and my daughter was in tears that her friend made boo boo on spider.
Well I sat the little girl down and told her how it really hurts when we do that and how Hashem crys when we hurt even a creature and how special she was b/c she wouldn't do it again etc etc to which she replyed then how come my brothers do it and my mummy never says anything?

exactly my point - take a good hard look at the parents!!!
it is natural for boys to be a bit more hard - skinned, but if the mother said nothing..........
