I was walking in the leaves today, thinking, "Doesn't the tree feel bad losing these beautiful leaves it worked so hard to produce in the spring?" Then I thought, "No, I guess not. It is giving up the old, dried leaves to make room to grow fresh, new ones next spring." Sometimes we have to let go of old, dried out habits, projects, ideas and opinions, no matter how fresh and alive they seemed when we first developed them. The time comes when we need to make room for new ones.
