It is a K inside an outline. I thought it might be west virginia, but it isnt. I looked at a map and its not like any state. A bit like lousianna -a boot with the toe pointing down. Its on a can of artichoke hearts under the trader joe's label.

Detroit, good per the CRC, it's on their list -- an outlined K with a circle inside?

OKay, nevermind then :-). I got that one (the outlined Detroit K) just last week in Trader Joe's. Here's the CRC link to acceptable hechsherim http://www.crcweb.org/agency_list.php Maybe it's on there?
I have them speed dial listed in my phone so I can call them from a store if need be (almost always it's Trader Joe's).

No, its not on the site-I checked it after your first post. I also checked out trader joes site and it wasnt on their hechsher list either. So I emailed them. Hopefully I will get an answer in the morning.

check out/email kosherquest.org. I was told by my LOR that Rabbi Eidlitz who maintains the site is very good -- obviously check with your LOR too! The best way to tell if a website symbols are kosher enough for you is to see which symbols they exclude.

So far not any of these. And no response yet from trader joe's either. I have looked at the lists of kashrus symbols, and can't find it on any of them.

What do you know about this one? I have been trying to research it but my Rabbi told me that he couldn't find conclusive information...

Thats it! After reading the link, I googled the map of Peru, and that is the shape of the 'state'.
Thank you so much. And to the other posters who sent links, this hechsher was not on any of them. But thanks or trying.
