I have a yummy salad with mango, avocado and candied pecans, but I don't have the pecans - what can I put in instead to give some crunch?

do you have pareve granola-type cereal?
Really you could put almost anything. Any dried fruit, cut up small if it's not already. Seeds, shredded coconut.
Even a fresh crispy veg, like bean sprouts or shredded cabbage or carrots.
If you want to spend time you could make your own croutons from oiled , oven-toasted bread or crispy noodles-- break spaghetti in small pieces, cook, drain, fry till crispy (so I hear-- I haven't actually tried it.)
If it were me I'd just make it with what I have.
