I was rushing out of the office and remembered to bring my bottle of water. I was really pleased with myself for remembering it.

Until I realized I had put an open bottle of water that was half full into my purse. I figured this out when I went to get my metrocard and felt an inch of standing water at the bottom of my purse. embarrassed

I just now put liquid dishwashing soap in the frying pan instead of oil - on top of the already frying pancakes embarrassed embarrassed embarrassed I always knew it was a mistake to have them both on the counter. Rolling Eyes

Ha ha strong ima! I've stopped at the last minute numerous times. I wonder if when I start using the white detergent, I stop trying to fry things with it.
I keep telling my kids to put their rikken on their back, or ricken on their rikken. translated, back on your back. instead of bag on your bag.
I found the baby's bottle in the bin. I have no idea if I did it, or my jealous 3yr old did. I'm inclined to believe it was me.

Answered the phone when my mil called...I never do that!

Forgot my age. Literally. Took me a few long secs to respond when someone asked how old I was. Does that count?

we ask the kids how old we are, otherwise we have to work it out from when we were born.
At my dh's appointment at a clinic in the hospital last week, they must have thought we're bats, cos we couldn't remember how old he was, but I remembered my dd just told me he's 33 Very Happy

The other night I made cheese lasagna for dinner. I put it in the dairy oven (we have a double oven) to cook, with just enough time for it to be ready before it was time to eat. When the timer went off, I went to take it out, only to discover that I had turned on my fleishig oven instead. We ended up eating bagels and cream cheese and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for dinner that night.

On the plus side, I had dinner all prepared for the next night.

I think I lost my brain somewhere, there are too many to mention, a few of note: Just today, thought my car was in a wrong spot for tomorrow's alternate sides, so I moved it into a spot across the street, when my husband had already moved it there because it was a good spot for the next day.
Also a few weeks ago I was rushing to get shabbos made, and putting away groceries that my husband bought, and make a milchig supper on my not small but crowded counter with my baby crawling about making mischief. I saw the package of chulent meat which my DH had so carefully chosen and thought I put it away, I quickly took care of the chicken and threw out the shopping bad it had been in. Friday morning my DH is assembling the cholent and I get a text "where's the chulent meat?" Then I realized--oops! It had been in that bag with the chicken!

My babys car seat is on the passenger side of the car. So to put her in, I unlock the front passenger door with my key, flip the switch that unlocks the rest of the doors, open side door, buckle her in, and when I go around to my door, I put the key in the lock, turn it, and realize I AGAIN unlocked an unlocked door.

I do this multiple times a day-you'd think I would learn by now!

went to the bathroom once in middle of the night. very pregnant. dark bathroom. more than half asleep. I reached down to the floor to tear myself a piece of toilet paper- and instead tore a page right out of the book I was reading. I kind of just sat there staring at the page, thinking what on earth???

I have the opposite problem. My van automatically locks all the doors when I close the driver's side door. So when I get out of the car and need to open any of the other doors, to let my kids out, etc., I have to click the switch on the inside of the driver's door to unlock all the other doors. So what happens? Almost every day, I get out of the car, walk around to the passenger side sliding door and try to open it, remember it's locked, walk all the way back around to the driver's door, click the locks open, and walk back around to open the sliding door.

Forgot to shampoo my hair in the shower... but conditioned it twice.

Then the very next morning I forgot to put on deodorant. (I NEVER forget!)

These, among other things, have prompted DH to ask "Are you SURE you're not pregnant?"

(Yes, darling, I'm quite sure.)

Re unlocking, locking doors: The real problem is when you attempt to open the front door of your house by clicking on your car alarm.

There is a small counter in the kitchen where I keep my jars of instant coffee (and paper cups , spoons) as well as a container of powdered baby formula. Many many many times, I walk up to the counter, take a cup and a spoon and pick up the can of Materna... and then I remember.

I haven't actually put a scoop of Materna in my coffee cup (or made my daughter instant coffee in her bottle) but I've come pretty close to doing both quite a few times.
