I am looking for websites and online resources on teaching kids to read English. They already know the ABC and are now learning 3 letter words. I am looking for ideas, games and colouring sheets. These kids are also older, they are 7-8 years old. Any suggestions?
TIA

'Zoo phonics' is simply amazing. I have used it for over 5 years in a Gan program - and the children begin to blend and read without any direct instruction from me. It is a fabulous program

I strongly recommend CBeebies (BBC's toddler channel)'s "alphablocks". Check their website http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/alphablocks/. It's mainly for teaching children phonetics. Each letter is an animation character with distinctive sound, allowing children to link letters and sounds. It is quite sophisticated in handling combination such as 'th' or 'tr' or 'er', vowel e is pronounced differently from 'ee'.

My son now in Year 1 literally taught himself how to read when he was in Reception using this.
It's an excellent programme available on the web.
