Low tone -- only in his mouth?

No, vocal tone is determined by a number of factors, only one of which is the mouth. There's the throat, nasal passages, lungs, diaphragm, abdominal muscles...

Anyone live in milwaukee?

Nope. No one at all. Used to be over half a million back in the day, but now it's a ghost town. Weirdest thing I ever saw.

"Where can you find moving boxes in Baltimore?"

Well, if they're moving, it's really hard to say isn't it? They won't be in the place I tell you once you get there...

My husband is now questioning the split aliyah!!!

Our gabbai doesn't like splitting aliyot, either, but some congregants insist on doing it to be able give kibbudim to all the important people at the bar mitzvah.

Which spices in Israel need checking?

I would imagine all the Spice Girls already have checking and don't need a special account when they're in Israel.

How to call a rabbi

"Rabbi X" when you first greet him on any given day, and just plain "Rabbi" after that.

"Large crowd for shabbos – more dishes or larger quantities?"

Um, more dishes, obviously. It doesn't matter how many guests you have; they'll each want their own place setting.

WHY can't he remember sefiras haomer counting?!?!

Because he doesn't daven Maariv with a minyan?

(Sorry if that sounds critical? In my family where we never go on vacation unless there's a minyan. So, although I know not everyone is so particular, I thought that in the normal course of things, men do go to daven. But I forgot that there are earlier minyanim where it's too early to count.

Still, around here after benching Friday night, the drill is, say over Krias Shema if you davened early, and, of course, count Sefira when applicable. If they come home just before whatever zman floats their boat & we're waiting for guests, they're busy looking at the clock to see if they can say Shma & count. before Kiddush...)

Great milchig ideas - tons of company!

I pray I should never be in this situation but your company may be fleishig, not milchig.

Our People have survived the Babylonians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Spanish, the Russians, Stalin, Hitler and Bin Laden, and YES! we will endure another People's Court episode featuring an Orthodox Jewish defendant!

ISO - ATTRACTIVE Jewish themed posters

There are surely a great many attractive posters here, and not only are they Jewish "themed", they're genuinely Jewish. But why are you asking? what kind of site do you think this is, anyway? Shame on you!
