Is it just me or do others eat non-stop before a major fast, as though it will help tomorrow?

I do it too, except for last year. Last year I drank soooo much that I was barely hungry the day before or the day of the fast. So maybe try to drink all day and eat in between - it may help you more than eating all day. Although eating does really help.

But of course. You can't cram it all in at seudoh mafsekes.
Calories consumed before a taanis for the purpose of being able to fast properly don't count, right?

All I know is I can't wait till this fast is over. Ever since the 9 days started, I woke up thinking the fast was that day.!!
And today I wont eat all day- it's always like that especially since it's going to reach over 100 (feeling over 120 degrees). I have no appatite!

Hrdwrkn - I've also been thinking about the fast for the last 9 days! I'm not a bad faster, I just hate the fact that I can't eat. Also, I just run low on energy.

I had the idea this year that it would make the fast easier if I eat LESS the past few days, get my body used to eating less so it is not expecting breakfast lunch etc. tomorrow. Of course I am drinking a ton and I will have a nice meal before the fast.

gotta try that next year french mummy! It's only 3:00 PM and I have a headache already, and I feel pretty miserable.
Sadly, this morning DH's grandmother passed away, so I'm really worried about him and my in-laws, they're going to the cemetery in this dangerous awful heat. I'm scared someone is going to pass out
