Every one loves this salad. My friend even took the recipe and gave it to her caterer who was doing a kiddush for her.
1 Bag Shredded Purple Cabbage
1 Onion
Dressing
3/4 cup(s) Vinegar
3/4 cup(s) Sugar
1 teaspoon(s) Mustard
1/2 cup(s) Oil
2 teaspoon(s) Salt
Preparation
Put cabbage in a bowl. Slice the onion and add it to the cabbage. Combine the dressing ingredients together in a pan and bring to a boil. While sauce is still hot pour it over the cabbage. DO NOT MIX. Cover the container. Mix before serving
If you want something totally different here is another recipes:
Salad
1/2 Bag Purple Cabbage
1/2 Bag White Cabbage
1 Bag Lettuce
1/2 container Grape Tomatoes
1 Bag Scallions
Dressing
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) Soy Sauce
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) Mustard
1/4 cup(s) Water
1/4 cup(s) Sugar
1/3 cup(s) Oil
3 tablespoon(s) Mayonnaise
Preparation
Put salad ingredients in a bowl. Mix together the dressing ingredients and pour over the salad. Top with crumbled nashnashim crackers in onion sour cream flavor
Enjoy!

Dressing: About 1/3c each of sugar, red wine vinegar, and oil + 1 Tbsp soy sauce. Shake well.
Salad: 1 head cabbage, shredded (or 1 bag) +
Crunchy stuff: any combination or all of the following (toasted): pine nuts, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, nuts (I usually skip the nuts, too expensive/allergenic/not really necessary)

For the sake of adding to the thread, despite the fact that you've already gotten more than enough wonderful looking recipes:
Shredded red cabbage
Dressing: mayo, lemon juice, white sugar, brown sugar, vanilla sugar, (yes, it's sweet!) and salt
Garnish: craisins and chow mein noodles

I made this recipe up (combined and changed two recipes I had)
1 bag red cabbage shredded
handful of pine nuts
handful craisins
sesame seeds
Dressing:
5 TB vinegar
1/3 c oil (sometimes I use a bit of oil and rest water to make it less calories- or even cut out oil all together and just do water)
salt
pepper
3 TB sugar
3 TB brown sugar
splash of orange juice
Mix and Enjoy!

Unlike most of the other recipes, this is a nonsweet mayo based:
red cabbage
chopped tomato
scallions
dressing is simply mayo garlic powder and salt - all to taste

I'm very bad with giving exact measurements but it's basically shredded cabbage, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, ramen or chow mein noodles added at the last minute, and craisins. For the dressing I just use freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar, oil, black pepper, and salt to taste. It's very good.
