Does she mean pizza sauce, or that lighter sauce they have in pizza stores to put on top of your pizza?

What do you mean, rotev ltibul? What's in that? I've never seen it at pizza shops.
To my recollection, Uri's sauce is very sweet. Either look for a sweet recipe or add sugar if you want it to taste like Uri's.

I don't know about Uri's but I made a copycat rotev from Dr. Toast that my SIL approved of:
1/3 marinara sauce
1/3 salsa
1/3 mayonnaise
mix well

I posted this on some other rotev pizza thread, but basically, I came up with an AMAZING dipping sauce just like in the pizza shops! I don't have exact measurements, but I'll do my best:
1 small container or small can of tomato paste
1 spoonful of mayo*
a few shakes of granulated garlic and onion powder
a few shakes of basil and oregano
a few shakes of paprika charifah (cayenne pepper)
salt to taste
hot pepper flakes (for those who like spicy - be generous!)
Mix all together until it becomes a smooth pinkish colored sauce. Add water to reach desired consistency (a teaspoon at a time) and add more spices to taste. This is YUM!!!! Enough for 2 people.
*DON"T USE HELLMANS!!! I made it the first time with the Israeli mayo and it was so authentic tasting. Then the next time I used Hellmans and it was AWFUL. Sure enough, when I switched back to Israeli mayo, it tasted like the real thing. Who woulda thunk??

This looks great!! Hope it's okay if I play around with this and come up with exact measurements... I see kosher.com doesn't have a recipe for one, and I'd love to post one there.
