For some reason this one totally cracks me up. It's the kind of thing I almost do, but catch myself.

Last week I got dressed, put on my coat, got my bag and left my house to work. I had a nagging feeling that I left something at home but couldnt place what it was.
About 5 min later, I realized that I had forgotten to put on my cardigan. I was wearing a shell and a vest. Raaaaaaa. On a day that I was finally running on time.

I was on the phone with a rabbi and of course ds distracted me near the end of the conversation, so when the rabbi said good bye I completely forgot who I was talking to and said "ok, love you, bye" before I hung up!

Boiled a pot of water for pasta. Added the pasta. Turned off the fire. Drained the water. Added the cheese. My dd wants to know why the pasta is so hard. I forgot to let the pasta cook in the water!
And the amount of times I've put size 5 diapers on my newborn and tried to put size 2 on my 3 yr old.

I have put on wizard instead of deoderant. Eyeliner instead of lip liner.
I have put windex in the fridge and juice in the cabinet.
I have sent my son to school still wearing his sopping wet diaper from the night and changed my newborns diaper 3 times in a row cuz I kept forgetting if I changed it..
And all this is just to name a few.

You remind me, I once started the stove instead of the oven, and I was wondering why its so hot in the kitchen...

Pretty much every day I walk into a room and stand there for a long time trying to remember why I went in there.
I often stand in front of the open refrigerator for the same reason.
Or hold the phone in my hand trying to remember who I was about to call (sometimes before dialing, sometimes while it's ringing).
And I'm not that old! I think it's sleep deprivation and general mental overload.

I turned around and noticed my kids looking at me funny...then I noticed the grated potatoes...still in the food processor! my kids could not stop laughing. |
ROTFL!!
