Attn teachers in SCHI, Ohr V'daas, Monroe, Bi-Yi, Hasc- can I ask what your salaries are? And do you get benefits? I'm looking into a special ed job out of town and wondering if the salary is normal... Thanks!

Bi-Y is a public school program, salary scale is the union going rate and benefits which you can find online. The jobs are hard to get though, because there are only a few classes in the whole city.

My SIL has a masters in Special Ed and is having a very hard time finding a job. She is right now working part time as a sub. She is getting no benefits, and claims the pay is lousy and it is impossible to find a steady job. She is living in Lakewood now for 1 year.

I just spoke my SIL. She says working for Catapult in schools you will make 30,000/year working full time + benefits. She didn't think there was too much room to move up.
She made it sound like its hard to find jobs anywere as the area in Lakewood is so flooded.
