I am taking a summer class in college its astronomy. this thursday I have a final. the professor told us that if we are happy with our grade we dont have to take the test. we had 3 tests so far. for those people who either got low grades or close to failing can come and take it and he will drop a low grade. the passing score is 55, so a 62 is a D, 65-70 is a C I think and so on. I colculated my score and so far I would get a final grade of C, which isnt great but im not sad about since this was a pretty hard course and I am glad I getting atleast a C. however if I get a 96 on thursday I will get a B, I dont lose anything if I take the test.
my problem is, I am not overly confident I can get such a high score, so it might be pointless to take this test. on the other hand you never know, maybe ill study hard enough and get it. should I try it, or just tell him, ill go with the C? thanks

if you have nothing to loose, why not? you just might get that 96!!!

he said only up, it wont bring it down, he said to someone else who also has a C, if you have a C you cant go lower then a C, you have that C even if you get a 20 on this last test.
