I feel that it is not fair who gets scholrships!

for yeshivah!

I know a family who is (to say it nicely)

does not keep any halachas and(their story gets worse)

they get a full scholorship for three kids!and do not pay a penny!

we are middle class and do not get a penny!

this family travels and the kids all have designer clothing!

it is not fair!
my kids do not hae what they have !

it is not fair!

Unfortunately that seems to be the case fairly often. There are many parents in my daughter's school that pay less than we do yet they always seem to be able to go away for mid winter break and Peasach and drive new cars and live in new homes while others (myself included never can afford to go away and struggle just to make ends meet. Who knows what they tell the school board or who knows what their situation really is. I decided that I will not get upset about this anymore as there is nothing that I can do about it. If they are indead getting something that they don't deserve, then hopefully everything will balance out in the end. As the expression goes, what goes around, comes around.

You have no way of knowing the whole story. Maybe some wealthy person who is into kiruv endowed a scholarship specifically for children of nonobservant families who would otherwise be going to public school. Maybe they have a relative who is paying for them. maybe they know a lot of rich people and have committed to bring in a huge sum of money in ads for the journal. maybe they are providing some sort of goods or services to the school in lieu of tuition. maybe the tuition committee feels that these ppl are a "pikuach nefesh" case, that ch"v the family is in danger of converting or something extreme like that and this is an attempt to rescue them. Maybe the family told them if the children do not go to yeshivoh they will go to catholic school. (It happens more often that we like to think about.)

Oddly enough that doesn't really work anymore. The frum world has grown so much in the past 25 years that the yeshivot have waiting lists to get in. I have known people that when they said that they will have to send their kids to public school because they can't afford the tuition were to go ahead.

the familys never would say that they would send their children to a cathlic school!
I never heard of anyone doing that!

the mother wants them to have a ewish education!

while she does her own buisness!(to say it nicely)

the school should inforce some rules on the kids who get scholorships!

for example===like going to shul at least once a month!\keeping kosher

other children from good homes -who do keep shabbos and that are striclty kosher are left out from going to yeshivah !and end up in publc school!

this family has no connection to anyone!

no rich uncle ! paying their bills!

they just get away with it!
they dont even bother to give an ad!

some familys who have a cash buissness can also get away with it!

their income tax shows a low income ! !
