Should I care if the name I chose is *messed up*
Messed Up (or Meztup, to use the more correct spelling) may be a lovely Bibilical name -- its one of the ones in a long list, right -- but I wouldn't give it to a modern child. Unless, of course, you pair it with Moron. Metzup Moron.

Cake Out Too Long
MacArthur Park is melting in the dark,
All the sweet green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again.
What the .... is that song about, anyway.

Yep, that's what I was thinking, too...
The song is either a spoof of all those torchy, belting-out-your-innermost-intense-feelings kind of songs, OR...a spoof of what it's like to be under the influence of drugs, when the most inconsequential things take on galactic significance in your addled mind.
I'm voting for the latter.
What kind of an idiot leaves a cake outside?
You'd have to be on drugs.

"Dr. retired"
That is an unusual name. Was that always his name or did he change it as he got older?

Oh, my vote was always that Jimmy Webb was ON drugs when he wrote it.

Ha! I never considered that possibility. That makes perfect sense. But what excuse do the promoters have?

Yes, it's done, by husband and wife. Did your kallah teacher tell you otherwise?

Eruv--do you have/use it?
I misread this as "envy--do you have it/use it" and thought it was going to be a motivational blurb about using your envy as incentive to accomplish more and get the things you're envious about.

So I was touring the shuk, and I see someone selling robes, and after looking closely, I see someone's name written in pen on the label with a phone number.... Huh? Selling used robes?

Does pitocin cause c-sections?
Scalpels being held and used by doctors on the bikini area of pregnant women cause c-sections.
