fadicha = awkward situation

"pancher" dates back to the British Mandate. a "puncture" is a flat tire. ergo, a frustrating mishap.

A fashla is like an embarassing situation or big mess-up. "a total fashla" would be like the military use of 'snafu'.

"Chavlaz" is an accrostic for 'chaval al hazman' but means the opposite!

1. (деревянная постройка) booth; (для представления) show-booth
2. (зрелище) show; (перен.) разг. slang: farce, low farce, preposterous piece of buffoonery

chick-chok is also expression from russian.

There used to be an exit sign on the highway near the airport indicating the exit that says "Natbag" in English. I wonder how many tourists trying to find the airport missed the exit.

I think "dosim" are charedi, and it's not a nice word, no. But where does the word come from? Is it a Yiddish-ized Hebrew of "da'at'?
