Would you tell your principal?

Question for all you teachers out there- I work in a school where the principal switches us around from grade to grade each year or every few years. I know the principal may not want a teacher who will be leaving on maternity leave teaching the kindergarten class. I realize the principal can't have full control over it, like if someone has a baby in June or so. But if you were in this position, what would you do? Would you tell your principal that you are pregnant if you're not showing yet at all? And won't be before the year is over?

I would. If you're not afraid that you are going to lose your job, just that she'll switch to another grade. It is mentchlich. Also if she's the time to respect your privacy and keep her mouth shut.

I would. I've done it-- I think it's only mentchlich. Employers need to make arrangements and also think of those sweeties in kdg who really could do without disturbing their routine when it can be helped

I would and have, with my first it was at 4 weeks! First person I told. I've also given up a job because I got pregnant and wasn't going to be able to complete the whole time period even though I didn't technically have to.
