im making chicken wontons, and the recipe calls for peanut oil to fry it in. which is more similar to peanut oil-sesame oil or canola? which should I use? tia

I used Canola because my SIL that was over when I made it was allergic to peanuts.
I think the reason for the peanut oil is that it doesn't burn at high temperature so keep an eye on it. I don't remember having a problem.

I make the wontons nearly every Shabbos and always with canola oil. Just keep an eye on it, make sure they don't burn.

FYI the peanut oil gives it a great flavor.
But I would use canola over sesame. (Over toasted or roasted sesame oil that is.)

Sesame oil should not be used for frying, it is far too delicate. Use plain ol' canola.
