I just bought a super sized chicken cutlet family pack. It was really cheap, so I now have about 5 pounds of cutlets.

Would you just freeze them as is, which I don't like to do, because a) I lose them in my freezer and b)always forget to defrost them before I need them.

Or, bread and bake and then freeze them, but I don't think they taste as fresh?

look 100 % say to cook first that must be the right decision Smile

I almost always cook before freezing then I could just pull it out of the freezer and enjoy.

We don't eat frozen chicken unless we're forced to. I'd freeze raw.

You can bread them and not bake them. Freezez them that way and you can pull it, bake and it tastes fairly fresh.

I would freeze them raw. I find frozen chicken to be gross. What I do when I get packages of cutlets is I pound them and freeze them with parchment paper or wax paper between each one, in packages of supper-size portions. This way, when I need the cutlets, it's a breeze to defrost (they also defrost quickly individually), and I can take out as many or as few as I need. I also separate the tenders and freeze separately for chicken fingers or stir fries.

Thanks everyone! I should've put an option to bread, then freeze raw! Smile

I didn't even know that was an option.

prepare it and then freeze. and even if you remember an hour before you just put it in a bag under water and it defrosts faster.
I always freeze my chicken in bags with enough for one supper.
also another yummy way to serve it. prepare the chicken, put it in a bag/container and pour in italian salad dressing. Then you take it out taht morning and defrost in the fridge or that night and stick it under running water for 30 min to an hour and then you broil it in the oven or grill it on the george foreman or grill. its easy, nearly all ready and absolutely delish

I would seperate the pack of chicken and freeze it raw , like this when I defrost it I have just enough for what I need rather than having too much .
