Because some hold that sefirah only starts with R.H., the men are getting haircuts and some are shaving tomorrow.
I wonder what other minhagim people have.......
I know that ILOVESLIFE says that she prepares a kugel for each of the Sifrei Torahs that come out; that's kind of neat.
Are there others?

by "sefira" I suppose you mean the "aveilus of sefira" (acts of mourning)
Many hold 33 days of mourning. Some start from Pesach and end on Lag B'Omer. Others start on Rosh Chodesh and end before Shavuos.
When you say "the men" are getting haircuts and shaving, you're not talking about Lubavitchers, right? (I'm only asking because you're Lubavitch)

Some people who hold from pesach til lag baomer or b4 shavuos will still shave on R"Ch that is erev shabbos.

We don´t cut our hair til lag ba omer although my son REALLY needs one!
What about sheitals? R u allowed to cut them during sefira?

According to the strictest halachos, no matter when you hold sefira, everyone can take haircuts this Friday Rosh Chodesh. See Shulchan Oruch O.C. 493 in Mishneh Brura #5. This Friday will not happen again until the year of 2020! If you need a haircut-get it today! Of course, there may be chumros out there that I or others do not know of........
My ten year old daughter kindly offered to cut my hair today and since I had to be menachem ovel and did not have time to get a professional haircut, I consented! I officially can now join the ranks of all her dolls that she has given haircuts to. I have that distinct look.
