I bought myself a nice sweater for Yom tov but it is like a little on me too much and I wanted to loosen it a little. how do I do that?

Hand wash in cold water and stretch it when you dry it flat. You can pin it to a bed if that's where you are drying it flat. That should keep it in place and stretch to the right size as it dries.
