So I have a basement and it's raw meaning the walls and floor is concrete and ceiling is insulation. I dont have the money right now to fix it up professionally. I just wanna portion off a small section to use for something, but it needs to look cozy....I can use a Heater to warm the space and put carpet on the floor. Any ideas that you think of or have done yourself (my husband and I are pretty handy) to cover the walls and ceiling to make it look pretty for low cost? I don't wanna involve professionals

I’ve seen painted concrete in basements and it looked great. I have a friend whose whole basement is raw. She put good lighting down there and a rug and couch and shelves and now it’s a playroom

If you have lots of stuffed animals, you can buy beanbag covers and stuff them. Extra blankets and pillows are great filling too. Makes it fun and cozy.

You can spraypaint the insulation.
A relative of mine sprayed it white

You can hang lightweight gauzy fabric from the walls- curtain style.

Make sure the insulation is not asbestos if it is an older house.

We did this recently-

Foam interlocking colorful tiles for the floor. Painted concrete walls with waterproof paint- 2 colors for fun.
Spray painted ceiling beams

Put a couch, craft station, rug, bigger toys down there.

Each step was fun, involved the kids, and spread over time
