Anon - because it's also my FB status 
Anyway, what should I wear to this huge dinner? They're honoring our good friends. It's at a very fancy hotel in NYC - shmorg and dinner.
To make matters worse, I have only a few outfits that fit...

I would wear a ritzy-looking suit with diamond-looking necklace. I was @ Loehmann's the other day (Upper West Side) and they had some beautiful blazers downstairs....

oh, you're going? my great uncle is one of the big machers there, one of the people arranging everything. I went 4 years ago. I was single at the time and wore one of my shidduch dating outfits. Suit, definitely. It was really nice, lots of nice food. Enjoy yourself!

OP = thanks for the responses...I hate suits!!! And none fit (I've lost a lot of weight recently) and don't want to buy any new ones! I guess, a)I'm going shopping, or b) I'm going to wear something that doesn't fit .
