I REALLY need a nightgown for the winter. Something long and warm and cosy and preferably not too nerdy or old-lady looking. Now that it's cold at night I usually end up wearing old sweatshirts and pants to bed and I really think it bothers my dh. I don't have time to shop in the stores, so if you can post links to things I can buy online I would really appreciate your help (and so will my dh )!

Do you need it to be fleece / velour, or is a long cotton nightgown good?

I guess if it's warm (thick cotton?) that's fine. I don't really care.

Or just google flannel nightgowns. They should be quite easy to find.

Thanks Barbara. But it's not long enough for me - my legs would get cold.
And maybe I just don't "google" well but I am not coming up with anything decent (for a good price) when I search flannel nightgowns.

check out L.L. Bean; they have a zippered robe, like fleece, good quality..go on line and look under robes; also you can wear their silk or wool long sleeve underwear and their silk or wool leggings under the robe.; also landsend as good thermal, warm underwear in silk and/or wool. price is reasonable..!
Vermont country store...has lots of old style fannel nightgowns, Lanz and other stuff...
or you can also put cayenne pepper, into your socks, no kidding...keeps your feet warm. and toasty...
and last but not least, get a furry kitten and a cup of hot cocoa with a swig of brandy, that always helps!
Happy sleeping and sweet dreams....

From searching online it seems that all warm nightgowns (flannel) are really old-fashioned looking. Does anybody have any other suggestions? Somthing long, tznius and warm. Thanks!
