I will be tutoring two boys this year. They both need help with reading fluency. One also needs help differentiating between different vowel sounds. Can anyone suggest specific methods for me to use? Just giving me a name of a method is good enough if I can then look it up online (if it is not online a name won't help me, so then please describe).'
Thanks loads

Don't know a specific method but issues with fluency is often due to a child not having gotten the sounds/letters completely down pat.

Where are you? It sounds like "Draizy Seltzer"'s method would help the second child, but I doubt you will find it on line. You would need to learn it from her or find someone who does.
It's a different approach to reading that bypasses the usual auditory and visual modalities, and it works really nicely!
For fluency issues, sometimes flashcards help build speed.
