32 oz california mix
4 eggs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons flour
1 heaping teaspoon salt
bread crumbs
cooking spray
Instructions
Sautee onion

Add california mix, cook 10 minutes longer.
Add eggs, mayo, flour, salt.
Top with bread crumbs.
Bake for 1 hour @ 350 in muffin pans sprayed with cooking spray. |
This sounds really good. Do you boil and then drain the veggies, or do you bake them all together? I assume, you mash them together and the put them into muffin tins - how many does it make?
Thanks!

not sure if you're still looking for a pomegranite salad, but here's the one I make...
lettuce
1 c pomegranite seeds (I just learned the under water trick last year - made this part so much easier!)
1/2 of a medium red onion peeled and finely sliced
dressing
1/2 c mayonaise
1/3 c sugar
1/4 c pareve milk
2 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp poppy seeds

Just found a great recipe for squash (gourd) muffins that I plan on trying this year:
3/4 C white sugar
1/2 C shortening
1 egg beaten
1 C cooked squash
1 t salt
1 t baking soda
1 t baking powder
11/2 C flour
preheat oven to 350 f
cream together sugar and shortening until very light and fluffy
Beat in egg and squash
in small bowl sift together the dry ingredients
add this to creamed mixture very gradually, beating well after each addition
spoon into 12 muffin cups
bake for 15-20 mins.
cool on wire rack
I have a sylacone miniture muffin pan and I plan on making "bite size" muffins to add to my simanim collection
Oh and btw - I invented a great icecream yesterday - cookie, apple & honey - tastes yum!

I'm halfway done with my honey cakes.
Made meatballs, meat loaf, marble cakes, cookies.
Finishing honey cakes today and making fish patties as well as starting round challahs. |
I hate you!
(joke, actually I am very jealous!)

should I add to my list?
I have to do things in advance as I am the slowest worker you have ever seen. Example: It took me a total of 4 hrs to fill my spinach (40) and potato knishes (nearly 50).
It's actually a glorious day here today, so today has been designated as a no cooking/baking day....although I think I'm going to make some apple crisps tonight while Dh is busy and the kids are sleeping. Maybe some more banana chip muffins... bananas are over ripe.
I still don't have my menus but I've been following this thread closely trying to steal ideas. I think I'll get down to business tonight... it's getting close!

I was debating it, but I don't want to leave my crockpot on for 2 days. Unless of course, I can figure out how to use a 7 day timer.

Turkey Roast
Jello Relish
Roasted Caramelized Carrots
Spinach Kugel
HOw do you keep turkey roast from drying out. I bout it because it seems healthy but wondering if it will be too dry.

Wow. You can order precooked simanim? How civilised! I presume that's in EY, no?
My grocery is getting delivered tonight. I've got 5lbs of leeks to clean and cook.

Thanks for the teriyaki recipe. I'm going to try it this year.
Here's a great pomegranate salad
Baby Leaf / Lettuce
1 pomegranate
1/3 cup of olive oil
2 tablespoons of vinegar
1 teaspoon of sugar (more)
1/2 teaspoon salt
pinch of pepper (optional)
1 small red onion chopped small
1 can of mandarins and juice
caremalized nuts
MIX ALL AND SERVE!
This was served at a barmitzva I went to and everyone (men and women) polished it off.
