a family that is becoming frum is looking for clothing stores in Manhattan that sell tzniusdik (but not chassidish) dresses suitable for a bat-mitzvah age girl who is very tall and slim for her age.
If anyone knows of stores like this in cherry hill or edison/highland park, that might also work.

I would try the regular stores, and put together an outfit. old navy has cute stripe skirts now, you can pair with a shirt and shabbos cardagin style, or s/t of the sort.

H&M always has something and last collection in Children's place is very tzniusdik.
