my son (6) has very weird kinds of fears.
fire (f.ex. wont go to hachnosas sefer tora bc there will be torches)
will not go to sleep if he smells bbq
scared of rain: he himself cant explain his fear but he will cry and not go to sleep if its raining (and I live in a rainy country!!!)
and scared of a noise of planes (but he will go on a plane, no problem)
and cannot stand the sound of my baby crying
so Im thinking maybe he has a sensitivity to noise?
anyway, I thought of going to someone who is doing these bach things. Did anyone do this for fears and did it help?
I prefer this than to go to a psychologist since he doesnt yet speak the language of my country.
any help appreciated!
thanks

I had similar fears of fire when I was young but this was because of a fire that happened at 5am next door to our house. We were woken by the firefighters and ran outside in our pajamas and a snow was falling... it was horrible.
Today, I know I am safe because I have smoke alarms in the home which are connected to the electrical wiring instead of batteries, which meas you never have to check if it's working. And trust me, it's working. That really dissolved lots of the fears.

I have a nephew who, till he was older, had an irrational fear of masks. I think they dealt with it with therapy.
My 9 year old can't go to sleep at night. Takes him hours sometimes.
I want to take him to a kinseologist for treatment. I've heard that they can help alot with fears.

what is this bach method? what's a kin....?
My son has a dif. weird fear.
I few months ago I gave into his pleadings for a video of Thomas. He LOVES Thomas the Tank Engine. He can even make the sound effects really well (which can get on everyone's nerves) The issue is, that when the VCR is off, he will not go to that part of the house. Since the VCR is in my bedroom, he won't go to my room, his room or the bathroom without me. He says that he's afraid because he "can't hear Thomas making the hoohoo and so I scared"
