I love wearing loose tops. The ones that are sleeveless and you wear a shirt underneath. The only problem is that my mom says I look like I'm wearing maternity ( I'm kinda thin). I find them so comfortable should I care if people think I'm pregnant? I'm in my 'child bearing' years I haven't had a baby for a while (problems). Does that mean I can't be comfortable?

If you don't care what others may think or say when they see you in tops that look like they could be concealing a belly- go ahead! personally, I find it nauseating that ppl spend so much time and energy speculating about whether others pregnant. I would wear those tops myself- I happen to think that often the styles are cute, trendy and comfortable.

I only wear the loose-fitting ones that have a fitted band at the bottom by the waist. As much as I don't care what others think, I still don't need the rumors and speculation.

LOL. A very sweet girl, who doesn't have a bitchy bone in her body, asked me when I was due the other day. The baby is 18 months - is it still baby weight at this point? - and no, I'm not pregnant. She was more upset than I was.
I love empire waist dresses and trapeze tops. I figure, better a loose top that makes it look like I might be pregnant/chubby, than a tighter silhouette that shows my muffin top!

there's a difference when you're married and wearing those tops and when you're still a teen and wearing those tops. I was recently at a wedding and a 15 year old girl (yes I know how old she is cuz she's my cousin) was wearing a top that I would wear as maternity. She has a belly too so she looked very pregnant. She's NOT pregnant (or at least I hope she's not! ). It really did not look very eidel to see a girl wearing such a swingy type of top.

I love empire waist dressess and trapeze tops too. I have a very small waist but big on bottom. I love being comfortable. My new attitude is not to care what other people think!

I have lost basically all of my baby weight so I just bought one of those long maxi dresses... they are so loose by the tummy and its not like I look pregnant in it. yet, every frum person I met in the mall today was staring at my stomach! I felt like a kallah again o and my baby is only 5 months so even if I was... I doubt id be showing yet!!

I did wear those empire waist tops before I got married, but once we were married I saved them until I was actually pregnant and showing (I didn't want people sneaking glances at my belly the whole time!)--and then I didn't have to buy maternity for a while!

wear whatever you want and ignore people - as long as you are keeping the laws of modesty, why should you care what anyone else thinks?

They aren't a good investment; the style won't last.

I don't want people thinking I'm pregnant (if I'm not) or fat, so no.
