Sticky GB is from KBD Short on Time. Basically, fried shallots, garlic, red and yellow pepper and a sweet and sticky sauce.

I had tons of guests and the only thing I had a lot leftover of was chicken. My freezer was left open so I had to cook more chicken than I had planned. We have 2 pieces of shnitzel and green beans left over, so that's tonight's supper with mashed potatoes.

DH taking me out for dinner tonight (Yey!!) so I had to start cooking early this week. There'll be 14 of us for Fri nite including the kiddies.

Challot (store bought, no time to knead tonight/bake tomorrow)
Butternut squash soup (hoping the temperature outside would drop from yesterday's 30C)
Roasted chicken
Braised lamb cutlets with balsamic vinegar, onion and prunes (cooked last night)
Some kind of fish for non meat-eaters, seabass or salmon
Yerushalmi kugel (baked last night)
Rice with browned vermicelli (cooked last night)
Grated carrot salad
Green beans with sliced almonds
Green salad
Cake (I thought of baking an apple cake, one of the guests have birthday)
Fruit salad
Parve icecream/ice lollies for the kiddies

Sat lunch and seuda 3 would be mostly leftover, plus vegetarian hamim, smoked salmon, pasta tuna salad for the kids.

Challah
soup
sticky green beans - Called my friend to ask for her recipe, just as I was signing into imamother the
other day. Clicked on the first post "Whats for Shabbos..." while she went to get the recipe, and
saw "Sticky GB...", just as she said "It's called Sticky Green Beans from one of the KBD books" LOL
glazed chicken
pasta or quionoa or rice or potatoes
apple of chocolate dessert... or both

Or nothing, if I keep sitting here on imamother, so gtg!

Finally after 6 crazy busy weeks, Friday night is just me and DH (yay!) so we are going super simple:

chopped liver
roast stuffed chicken (stuffed by the butcher)
roast potatoes
a few random veg

fruit for dessert if we can be bothered and I might defrost a cake from the freezer

I anticipate cooking time to take no longer than half an hour this evening and we are going out for lunch!

I cannot wait fo a quiet and minimum effort shabbat
