my first baby was bathed every day. Very Happy
my second was bathed 5-6 times a week. Smile
my third was bathed 3-4 times a week. Speechless
my fourth is bathed 3 times a week. Silent
I wonder where I'll hold with my 7th (iy"h) child. Confused

It's my first and he gets a bath every day except Thursday night (since he gets a bath Friday aftenroon). It's our highlight of the day. He loves it. I leave him in the tub for about half an hour while I read or talk on the phone or go online while sitting right next to the tub (he's in a bath seat). He loves kicking and splashing (and being naked of course). It's also his nighttime routine and cue and he falls alseep very easily after his bath.

The water is probably freezing in there after a half an hour...

My kids get bathed every single day from the day their umbibical cord falls off. It's part of our bedtime routine and they sure need it!

I asked the ped how often they needed to be bathed. he said, as long as face, hands and diaper area are kept clean, a bath once a week is plenty. so that's what we did.

not to worry, they take a shower every day now. I think. (all I know is there is always someone in the shower, though they could be taking turns the way they take turns doing dishes--a different person every day shock )

my daughter is 11 months old, but ever since she's been 4 months she gets a bath monday-thursday and we take a shower together saturday night. now that shower is really the highlight of her week. I'd do it more often, but she's getting heavy!

The bath is more for their enjoyment than their cleanliness. Now that my baby eats solids though I find he is so dirty and his diapers are much smellier so he can use a wash every day and it's much easier in the bath.

To anony poster: take heart, you're not the only one embarrassed We once went 2 weeks without. My dh was freaking out and finally just took him and did it himself one day.
I usually try every two days, but I'm happy with 2x a week and as long as he gets once a week on thurs nite I don't feel like a bad mommy.

My son is 7 mths. Can I already put him sitting up in a bath seat? now he reclines and doesn't like it much. Also is there anything specific to look out for when buying a bath seat?

Oh, I forgot about summertime. Once a week in winter, but in our hot, sticky summers, it must have been every day--more for cooling-off than for health. Basically I think we just hosed 'em down a bit a dried 'em off.

My baby loves it too! I bathe her every other day or every day if she spits up too much. Sometimes I put her in just to calm her down cuz she loves being in water! They say it reminds them of being in their mothers stomach. Shes only 6 weeks old.

I bathed and sttill bathe my son every day, but if motsei shabos comes out too late or we are back late in the eve, I don't beat myself up about it,, now he asks for it, so I can't really get out of it, it isn't something bad he's asking for, even though sometimes I really don't have the energy.
