I wasn't able to have the day off from work..(my coworker booked a trip to Rome months ago and we are very understaffed) but keeping busy at work was a good thing! The day flew by (I'm ussually a horrible faster)

my first normal fast in almost 3 years!
baby nursed fine on tisha b'av - but on friday and today she kept on nursing as though the supply was low and she had to bring it back up.

[quote="micki"] I went thru a rough spot around 5, baby was nursing way more than he ever does! I am so annoyed, cause I want to stop nursing him and he picked 9 bav out of all days to do his binging.

Just by the way - your baby probably was hungry from a lower supply rather than davka picking Tisha B'av to do his binging

I breast fed as little as possible and I made it through very weak. I had to eat and drink at the time for chalashim (15 minutes earlier). Was spinny the whole night afterwards. Yikes!

I hope HaRav Kavnievsky (spelling might be wrong) is right when saying that this was the last fast for Tisha bAv!

I was worried I wouldn't have enough milk, but it was fine. Friday was when I felt it though, my milk supply was quite low!

It was terrible towards the end. I felt dizzy and very weak. I could barely move. I ended up eating and drinking with shiurim until the end of the fast.

Wow! Glad that it was good for most people...

I'm in my 6th month, only two or three contractions, BUT - threw up at 11AM, rav said if I throw up I should eat shiurim; did that, threw up more, called rav again, he said just eat what you need (forget shiurim). But it didn't really make a difference, 'cause I vomited four more times that day (including break fast...)

Took off the day Friday to let my body (and baby) recuperate.

So now I'm REALLY nervous about Y"K...

I drank TONS of water before the fast but then I was going to the bathroom all night so I dont know how much that helped. I had a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old (nursing) to feed and take care of and at about 1-2 in the afternoon I was so weak that I just put the kids in their cribs and had to lay down. Every time I got up I had black in my eyes and I felt like I was gonna collapse but I made it to the end, we hold the latest zman so I had to wait until 9:26. I took the kali tzom before the fast but they didnt seem to help, unless it would've been even worse without them. For Yom Kippur I plan to try taking the Shaklee Performance since everyone is saying how good it is.
