I will iyh be going to in-laws for shabbos nachamu in the catskills.
I don't need to bring food as food is included where they are. I am thinking of flowers but that is so typical. Any ideas please?

If you have kids, take a beautiful picture of them and put it in a frame; wrap it nicely. If it's just the two of you, a nice idea is a candy assortment or a nuts and chocolate assortment that they can nibble on between meals.

I do have kids, but no pictures at this time. I usually take them a picture Pesach time or Sukkos time when I go for Yom Tov.
There is such an abudance of food there, I don't think any nosh would be appreciated.
Anything else?

Some ideas: a bottle of wine, a box of chocolates, a fruit platter (I know there's an abundance of food, but these are things that are usually appreciated anyway, I think!)

Cookbooks are a good idea, but I really liked the frame idea - Why can't you just take a few pics of the kids at the park, or wherever and from those? Those are so much more real than the staged ones at the store, anyway.

I feel like country homes don't have always have the same things that people's regular homes have, and while they might have a million pretty salad bowls in the city they have only one or none in the country. Maybe you can think of something that they might like to use there that they don't have yet-- like beautiful salad servers, or a nice dish for chulent, or something like that...

Another idea if they have a lot of guests is a guestbook-- like they have in B&Bs that people can sign after shabbos...
