I made today a 12 quart pot of veg. soup and somehow the bottom of the pot got really burnt. I just went to taste it and it has a really burnt taste Is there any way to salvage my soup???? I spent a good hour cutting all the veggies in small pieces!!!! Maybe there is some trick to take out the burnt taste... any advice??

in all my cooking, short answer: not that I know of, no
burnt soup is hte hardest thing to salvage (or maybe over-peppered soup, thats also hard)

It's impossible. Toss it.
ss321, some people adjust over-peppered soup by adding something absorbent and spice-dulling, like lots of potatoes.
But burnt soup? To the garbage.

I'm sorry to be the third to share the same opinion. Garbage. Like my mother says, it should be a kapara

It might be too late at this point, but for the future, if you burn something like that one way to save it is to NOT stir it, but try to remove the inside contents of the pot without getting the burnt outter portions into the "good stuff." This works best with thick things like sauce, so I'm not sure if it would work with soup.
Sorry.
