I want to dye my old shietel a darker shade as it has faded.
any recommendations which is a good brand and colour to try?
my natural hair colour is dark brown and my sheitel is fading to an light-browny-orange.

I died an old fall of mine and it came out beautifully using Preference by Loreal.
You just have to be meticulous to get each and every strand of hair from top to bottom evenly and follow the package instructions exactly.
I know I wrote a thread about it way back when if you care to search for it to read what others said.

can any hair dye our of a box be used on a sheital? I never thought of doing this before but it sounds like a great idea, especially as those dyes usually have deep conditioners in them.
has anyone ever had a *bad* experience dying a sheital like this??

follow instructions on any box of hair dye ... wear gloves ... use a good amount of conditioner ... and GO FOR IT !!!

I saw dye which u stroke in highlights with a comb and others which they call multi-tonal which is all 1 colour but had added somehting or other so its not a flat brown ... any luck with either of these types?
