I don't know if I would tell high schoolers that we cover our hair to keep it special for our husbands, for three reasons:

1. That's not the only reason, and some people don't even agree that it is a reason.

2. It puts a visual image of intimacy into students' heads, and more specifically...

3. It puts a visual image of YOU involved in intimacy into students' heads.

I'd stick to the other reasons people have suggested. I think it's a good thing that you can expose the students to things they did not know before, in a way they can relate to and learn from.

I like the whole, it's keeps Hashem in our minds, ie kippahs, etc. AA kids can totally relate to G-d and going to church, etc. Also, I'm just more open about these things and I agree that openness brings cultures closer through understanding. And, yeah my students, nyc public school kids did not know about WW2 at all. Nothing about naziism etc. When kids started reading number the stars, etc., I had to give LOTS of background info so they could understand what was going on. Sad really.
