I've had problematic/oily skin since my teens; I've been washing and moisturizing my face morning and night for years now. I notice a real difference on Shabbos and Yontif when I can't wash my face; it's actually really hard for me. My skin gets really oily and I often break out afterwards.

I wear daily tinted moisturizer and I only wash my face when I shower every second day on good days… I bh have amazing skin

Any makeup or skincare experts that can weigh in?

I used to wear foundation daily so obviously was a no brainer to use a face wash daily.

On the days when you wear nothing are you meant to use a face wash?
Or just wash with water?

I double cleanse every night and I rarely wear makeup.
I also wash my face with water only in the morning and if I come home all sweaty

Since I became consistent with face washing I have noticed a difference when I skip double cleansing

Just wondering the women who dont wear makeup is your skin great?

I always feel that the makeup is making my skin worse but my skin definitely looks better with foundation on.

I dont have glowy clear skin that I can get away with.

Personally I don’t wear makeup mainly for sensory reasons but also cuz I don’t prioritize time for it and I struggle with body image issues and I find it easier to not wear makeup on the daily so that I don’t hate my face without it

I don’t wear makeup every day. It clogs my pores horribly. I don’t have great skin but with makeup I’d have worse! I wash my face every night.

Morning- toner, moisturizer
Evening- mask, face wash, toner, moisturizer

Use a gently, hydrating cleanser. It won’t dry out your skin, it’ll just make it look and feel better.

Double cleanse means washing your face with an oil based cleanser first, then a water based cleanser. It’s especially important if you wear makeup because regular cleanser won’t melt away the makeup as good as an oil or balm.

I'm not hoity toity enough to use "face wash" unless I get a free sample or a gift. I use plain plebeian bar soap. I confess that I get lazy and skip the soap sometimes.

I do. I don't wear makeup most days, and no my skin is not great but I'm pretty in other ways. My acne is better when I wash my face consistently, twice a day.

Wow this is such a weird attitude. Are you from the generation of the Holocaust? There are face washed available for a couple of bucks in drugstores. Some of them come in the form or a bar soap.

Do your kids also dress in potato sacks or in hoity tooty Jewish store outfits?
