I’m the OP of a different thread about struggling financially
I can potentially take more hours at work, but, firstly, I am not thrilled with my current babysitter for various reasons, ds will be going to school next year and it doesn’t make sense for me to switch him to someone else (if there even is someone else) for a few months. But I don’t want to add more hours to my work and leave him longer at a babysitter situation that I am not thrilled with. (Nothing dangerous just babysitter has TV running a lot, sometimes she forgets to put on pull up for nap time, sometimes she can’t get ds to nap until 1:30 which is so late). DS really outgrew her (she is better with younger babies), but he’s been there so I just kept him.
Also, once summer comes my kids day camp hours are going to be significantly shorter than school hours and I won’t be able to work as much
I am concerned if I sign a contract to do 20 hours (now I get paid hourly and reach maybe 6-8 hours a week), it means leaving my baby at a not great situation for longer and it means it will be a real struggle in the summer to make those hours.
What do I do?
