I've been looking for months. It feels like I'm looking for a unicorn. Everything showing now is fully or almost fully upholstered which means hard to clean and almost impossible to repair.
I cannot afford $200+ a chair for them to look horrible in a few months.
I am not the best housekeeper, we have one of those homes where kids come in and out, lots of guests, everything chill, I cannot be "on top" of the chairs. I need practical and not outdated. It doesn't need to perfectly stylish or on trend but I do care that it should look somewhat up to date.

Someone posted in another forum about this, I wanted to have this conversation but due to the details I wanted to be anon. I hope the OP of that thread doesn't mind moving the discussion here where people may be more open to sharing.

Do they peel or crack? Thats my husbands concern, I don't anyone who's had these for a few years, they are a more recent style. We have had fake leather on other furniture that peeled horribly. We can't afford $400 a chair for real leather. Esthetically only the light colors are nice and that's not a good idea for our lifestyle. I would forgo the color esthetics a bit if everything else worked.

These are not easy to keep clean chairs. One pen mark, tomato sauce spill, and they're gross.

Taubus furniture makes a run of chairs this time of year that are good quality. He orders them in bulk, so they aren't custom, but much cheaper.
I bought mine this way and have been happy with them.

How can I get information on this?
Aren't all chairs bulk chairs?
Or are most chairs in Jewish stores custom?

The reviews show that they rip and peel after a short time. For this price that won't work.
