It shouldn’t if it’s cooked properly in a Dutch oven
Do you preheat your oven with the Dutch oven inside? Do you have parchment paper or silicon under the sourdough?

Either move the shelf up a bit or add a pan with water underneath

Put a cookie sheet on the shelf below your Dutch oven

Put a thick/folded layer of tin foil in the Dutch oven.

Check the accuracy if your oven temp. You can buy a probe on Amazon very inexpensive.

Put flour on bottom of pan might help. I do that and it never burns

Thanks I do preheat with the Dutch oven inside and I put a parchment underneath but I will try the silver foil underneath and a pan I’m not sure about my oven temperature that might be a good point

I agree with the cookie sheet on the lower rack- that helps. Also a silicon bread sling prevents burning and makes it much easier to take the loaf out.
