These are my go to suppers under $15 total. There is one supper over $15 but I even it out with a supper that is under $10. Please add if you have more ideas. This is for a family of 7 but the equivalent of 5-6 eaters.

1: Tuna Patties and Rice and sliced veggies

2 cups of rice - $1
36 oz Tuna (makes 20 patties and we have leftovers for lunch the next day) - $8.50
5 eggs - $0.50
1/2 cup bread crumbs - $0.50
oil and spices negligible
vegetables - $2-$3

2: Homemade Pizza and salad

dough (2 pies) - $4
sauce - $3
cheese - $5
vegetables (I use cheap lettuce) - $2-$3

3: Chicken Stew (this costs a little more)

Drumsticks - $12
potatoes, onions, celery, carrots, spices - $5

4: Meatsauce and macaroni and green beans

ground beef - $8
Macaroni - $2-$3
Sauce - $2 - $3
green beans (from can)- $2

5: Eggs with hot dogs

2 dozen eggs - $3-$4
turkey dogs (Few dogs cut in to eggs) - $1
bread - $3
pepper and onion - $2

6: Macaroni, cheese, and sauce with corn

macaroni- $2-$3
cheese - $4
sauce - $2 - $3
canned corn - $2

Depends where you live. In Lakewood I can consistently find ground beef on sale for $5 or under a pound. So the possibility is endless with that: burgers, meatballs, meat pizzas....

Juevos Rancheros

Fajitas ($3-4 for 20?)
Scrambled or sunny side-up eggs ($2 for maybe 12 eggs for that size crowd?)
Easy peasy veg "chili" (One large can baked beans and half a jar of salsa, $4)
One bag shredded cheese ($4 ish)

Delish, fast, nutritionally balanced, and cheap!

We don't keep CY so cheese is cheap at Costco.

My kids aren't big on vegetables so they don't eat a whole lot of it. Canned vegetables are also cheaper.

Do u do beans for protein in the veggie chili?

My kids don't love beans. Trying to think of another filler food that's not expensive.

Thanks for reminding me.

We also do deli sandwiches. Turkey and bologna are both cheap and make good supper inexpensively.

5 eggs = $1.16, not $0.50.
My eggs are $2.79 a dozen.

I also don't know how OP purchases 7 cans of 6 oz tuna for $8.50. My tuna is $2.19 for 6 oz can so 36 oz is $15.33.

The meat and chicken amounts don't match my bills either.

Though I admit these suppers are budget friendly, the pricing is off.

A lot of this is location dependent. Eggs here are $1.38 a dozen. If I wasn't makpid on bishul yisroel tuna (assuming OP is not) I could get Starkist 5 oz cans for $1.17 each. $6 per lb of ground beef is not unusual either.
