Is it normal that lately I hear a constant light trickling sound coming from my toilet? I didn't have this before what can be the issue? I checked and didn't see any leaks

Check the overflow pipe. The water may be constantly running into it if the fill valve needs to be replaced.

Call a plumber
You can end up with a $1000 water bill

If you have a tank style toilet, the plug in the bottom of the tank that lifts up to let the water flush, may not be closing completely and therefore allowing water to trickle into the bowl.

We had this a few months ago. BhBh we called a plumber. He came and said if we didn’t it would’ve caused problems. I think you should call a plumber- this shouldn’t be happening.

This is most common repair. Super easy to do it on your own. Regular wear and tear!

We had something like this and it turned out the flush mechanism was worn out and needed replacing. The marvels of youtube meant we replaced it ourselves.

Yeah I was going to suggest to YouTube it. Save a lot of money on a plumber. And you definitely want to fix that if you’re paying for water…

Maybe the landlord will take care of it, if he cares about the water bill. It's a simple piece from home depot, a flapper or new chain...
