I'm not sure what this seed is called in English. We have these delicious crackers with these black sesame seed-like seeds. I found them in the spice aisle (in Israel) and they're called ketzach. What are they in English? Does anyone have a good recipe for them in/on challah?
I tried using them on top of a sweetish white challah a few weeks ago and it was not a very good combination. I'm thinking much less sugar and a bit more salt. I would love a recipe similar to the cracker recipe but don't even know what to look for. Anyone use these seeds before?

They're nigella seeds. If you can get Pereg brand they have them.

Thank you! I have the seeds, but I wanted a challah/bread recipe that uses them. If you or anyone else has suggestions...

I'd go to kosher.com and look for a savory flavored challah/ savory topped one
